We've had experience with 5 different preschools at this point, and La Tribu is by far our favorite because: 1. The staff are WONDERFUL! 2. The administration is really really on top of their game 3. The outdoor focused experience 4. The Spanish immersion experience You really can't go wrong with La Tribu!

Our daughter has been at La Tribu Rural for the last 8 months after she was struggling with keeping up at a former preschool she was attending. It has been a refreshing change and positive experience for her and our family to be at La Tribu Rural. Their whole hearted curriculum teaches through story telling, play, language, yoga, music and art and caters to our child as she developmentally grows, which we found to be a much better fit for our daughter. The teachers and staff especially Ms. Brenda and Mr. Carlos are caring and compassionate and always available to listen. Our daughter also learn how to count in Spanish, how to use whole part model that is being taught at first grade. We really feel part of a wonderful community here and the staff, teachers and parents have been nothing but supportive. Though it's been a challenging year, due to Covid-19 to socialize as much, La Tribu Rural has gone above and beyond in building and providing outdoor classrooms! This in itself has made a world of difference for our daughter to be able to go school and enjoy being with her friends. We are very grateful to have found La Tribu Rural and are so happy our daughter thrived there! I totally recommended this school.

I couldn't be happier having our daughter at La Tribu. We thought finding a community-centered school with a Montessori curriculum grounded in outdoor access and Spanish immersion would be impossible to find. But we were wrong. Our child has blossomed under the care of the kind and incredible teachers in her classroom. She has been exposed to so many wonderful things, like weather units, a science fair, gardening, and various cultures. The most important thing is that I can see how well she is cared for and how the teachers cultivate who she is without putting her in a box. I wish this school extended into lower elementary.

We only recently started at La Tribu this summer but so far our experience has been wonderful. The campus is quaint and welcoming. The teachers and staff are friendly, caring, and everyone is very nurturing. Within the first couple weeks I noticed huge strides in my sons language development and feel the Montessori method has allowed him to explore his independence. They get lots of time outdoors and exploring nature. You can tell the admin team is putting a lot of time and effort into refining communication and building a sense of community among the parents. I think the biggest things we noticed were how calm and peaceful the classrooms were when we got to observe, with each child so content focusing on their desired work station. Not to say that crying and some chaos doesn't happen during the day - which is completely normal and expected, but the overall energy within the classrooms was very calming that it just felt like home. There is a good student to teacher ratio and feels like the teachers aren't stressed & overburdened which in turn is felt in how the kids interact with them. Only downside is they don't have a program for babies under 18 months - because if they did, we would sign up in a heartbeat!

The best decision we made was to send both of our boys to La Tribu Rural. The instructors are gentle and loving toward the children. They take their time teaching concepts and guiding them. Biggest bonus was that it is Spanish immersion. Almost, all of the teachers are bilingual so communication was not an issue for members of our household that don't speak Spanish. Our younger son just recently started and we are so glad to have this beautiful space for him to learn in.

My son has been attending La Tribu since the first fall of the pandemic at age 2. He started in Ms Natalie’s class and after a year he moved up into the Mariposas class with Ms Agustina and Mr. Carlos. The teachers LOVE these kids, genuinely care about them as little individuals. We do not speak Spanish at home and my son is doing well with the Spanish immersion, he’s starting to spontaneously use Spanish outside of school. He thrives with the amount of outside time and real life experiences. Since starting La Tribu we have grown our family and the love I feel towards our new baby is incredible. She gets so excited to pick up her brother and the teachers and Priscilla always talk to her, she definitely recognizes them and I know her transition to attending will be smooth. There have been some missed opportunities in terms of communication between parents and administration. This has improved with the hiring of Priscilla but is still an area they are working on. However, I do always feel confident as a parent in being able to express any concerns and being heard.

My husband and I could not be more pleased with La Tribu and the care they provide our son. From day one they have made every effort to welcome us to the tribe and provide a sense of security that our son is in good hands. Our son has thrived since starting and we owe that to his teachers; Mr. Natalie and Ms. Yanis who are both well educated in best methods for child development and saints when it comes to patience.

I have two daughters (4yo and 2yo) in La Tribu and I cannot say enough great things about them! The teachers and staff are attentive, kind, and very caring to both students and parents, which for me is baseline for a preschool. On top of that, the Montessori curriculum and approach is a perfect fit for my two kiddos. And the Spanish immersion is just a cherry on top for our bilingual household. The faculty are very thorough and thoughtful in tracking the progress for my girls and advance them as appropriate, always making sure they are being challenged the right amount. My 4 year old recently started learning reading, writing, and math which blows my mind and she is excelling so quickly. It is very clear to me that both my kids are given opportunities to learn at La Tribu that would not be available at home or daycare. I could go on for days about how much I love this school. Please add a lower elementary...we will stay as long as we can in this wonderful learning environment.

Both of our children are at La Tribu and they absolutely love it! We as parents do, too! We have one in the Mariposas class and our younger one just started in the Conejos classroom.
The teachers are patient, professional and kind. The environment is loving and fosters the children’s growth. They adhere to the Spanish immersion and Montessori curriculum, which was very important to us. The children get to play outside and appreciate nature in addition to their Montessori work cycles. They plan lovely events that help the community bond such as gardening days, drum circles and much more. We are so grateful to be part of the La Tribu family!
